2021 MLB All-Star Week Coverage on SiriusXM

TikTok and SiriusXM to Create Exclusive Audio Experiences

NEW YORK, NY (05.25.2021) – TikTok, SiriusXM and Pandora today announced they are joining forces on the rollout of new and innovative content across each of their platforms. Creating list ener experiences curated specifically for each platform’s loyal fans will allow TikTok, SiriusXM, and Pandora to deliver access to groundbreaking programming, exclusive performances, special events, and some of music’s top and emerging talent. 

This summer, SiriusXM will launch TikTok Radio, a full-time music channel featuring the trending sounds that are redefining pop culture from TikTok. TikTok Radio will be presented by TikTok creators, tastemakers, and DJs. TikTok Radio will be available in vehicles and as a streaming channel on the SiriusXM App, desktop, and all connected devices.

SiriusXM Connected Vehicle Enhances SiriusXM Guardian with New ACN+ Safety Technology for Select Vehicles

NEW YORK, NY (05.06.2021) – Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services Inc., a provider of connected services to vehicle manufacturers, announced that its new ACN+ (Advanced Automatic Crash Notification) technology is now available across the US and included on select Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Alfa Romeo models with an active SiriusXM Guardian services subscription. 

SiriusXM Guardian includes a hands-free safety service that can connect drivers with a live agent if airbags deploy. Now through ACN+, SiriusXM Guardian digitally links vehicle and crash data direct to 911 personnel so they can be notified more quickly and first responders can receive enhanced critical information about the nature and severity of the vehicle emergency before arriving at the scene.

If the customer has a linked MedicAlert account, first responders will also be able to access medical data valuable in an emergency—especially if a driver or passenger is unresponsive. The technology behind ACN+ can also be used to digitally relay vehicle, customer and linked MedicAlert account information to 911 with a driver or passenger-initiated SOS emergency button press.

Through SiriusXM Connected Vehicle’s exclusive relationship with RapidSOS, ACN+ can connect and digitally share incident data to over 4,800 Emergency Communications Centers which cover more than 92% of the US population by geography.

Without this integration, emergency incident information must be verbally communicated to 911, a process with greater risk of error that entails more time than simply relaying the same information via a data transmission.

The ACN+ solution is far superior to 911 calls initiated through a caller’s cell phone due to the capabilities to immediately share significant vehicle incident information regarding the impacts on the driver and passenger after a crash event. 

Currently over two million select Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Alfa Romeo models, year 2019 and newer, are capable of receiving SiriusXM Guardian services in the United States and their drivers and passengers will now all have access to this enhanced safety feature with an active subscription.

New to the MLB Network Radio roster this season are World Series-winning former Royals manager Ned Yost, former All-Star Yonder Alonso, who recently retired after a 10-year major league career, and former Cardinals 1B Xavier Scruggs. Yost hosts Happy Hour with Casey Stern two Mondays (5:00 pm ET) each month. Alonso hosts Home Plate with Dani Wexelman every Sunday at 4:00 pm ET. Scruggs hosts MLB Roundtrip every Monday night after the games with Dan Graca.

Additionally, starting this month, SiriusXM and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum will present an exclusive new podcast series, Black Diamonds. Hosted by museum president and historian Bob Kendrick, the podcast will showcase the history of the Negro Leagues, highlighting the players, people and events that shaped them, as well as spotlighting the leagues’ achievements and innovations during a time of segregation and inequality. Listeners will hear the stories of baseball legends like Jackie Robinson, Oscar Charleston, Josh Gibson and Satchel Paige, and important figures like Rube Foster, Effa Manley, Buck O’Neil and many more. 

Black Diamonds, a SiriusXM original podcast, will debut on MLB’s Jackie Robinson Day (April 15). The 20-episode series can be heard on the SiriusXM app, Pandora, Stitcher and other podcast platforms.

Throughout the season, in tribute to Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda, who passed away earlier this year, listeners will continue to hear Lasorda’s voice before every game. Prior to the 2015 season, Lasorda narrated a special message to all baseball fans about the game they love, which airs as an introduction to every regular season game broadcast on SiriusXM. You can hear Lasorda’s introduction here:

NCAA March Madness on SiriusXM

NEW YORK, NY (03.16.2021) – The 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship will air in its entirety on SiriusXM, giving subscribers nationwide access to every minute of March Madness on SiriusXM radios and the SiriusXM app. In addition to live play-by-play of every game, SiriusXM listeners will also get the most in-depth daily coverage throughout the tournament on several exclusive 24/7 college sports talk channels.

The 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship tips off with the First Four on March 18 and runs through the Final Four and national championship game on April 3 and 5. SiriusXM will also air Spanish-language broadcasts of the Final Four and championship games.

All Men’s NCAA Tournament game broadcasts are provided to SiriusXM by Westwood One, the official network radio partner of the NCAA.

Tournament match-ups and SiriusXM channel assignments will be available at starting Monday, March 15.

On Selection Sunday, March 14, SiriusXM listeners will get up-to-the-moment coverage as tournament teams and first round match-ups are announced. On Mad Dog Sports Radio (channel 82), Chris “Mad Dog” Russo and Steve Torre will host special Selection Sunday coverage live from 5:00 to 9:00 pm ET. Additionally, ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM (channel 84) will air a Selection Sunday special hosted by Jon Crispin, Fran Fraschilla and Mike Yam from 6:00 to 9:00 pm ET. The official NCAA Tournament Selection Show produced by Westwood One will air on CBS Sports Radio (SiriusXM channel 206) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm ET. The shows will feature interviews with special guests, including team coaches and NCAA Men’s Basketball Committee chair Mitch Barnhart.

SiriusXM will also offer coverage of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship, providing listeners with live play-by-play of the Women’s Final Four and championship game.
