GASTONIA, NC (01.23.2020) – Shiflet & Dickson hosted dealers for an AudioControl training session on Monday evening, January 20th, at the company’s facility in Gastonia NC. Matt Palumbo, AudioControl’s National Trainer, flew in from Seattle to conduct the training.
David Holland, Shiflet & Dickson GM, stated “We had about 30 people in the audience for Matt’s training. He not only thoroughly covered the technical aspects of products in the AudioControl line but gave dealers a number of sales pointers that they can use on the sales floor back in their stores. Several dealers came from over a couple hours away and they were definitely rewarded for their trip.”
Palumbo related “We trained the audience members at Shiflet & Dickson on the entire AudioControl lineup as well as a focus on new products like our LC1i and LC2iPRO, ACX Series all-weather amplifiers, new 5-channel amplifier as well as the game changing DM-RTA. Audience members were definitely in tune and asked a lot of real world questions.”
Holland added “We had a meeting in the AudioControl booth at CES. While there Matt took me through the line. In our discussions in the booth I mentioned we had not had an AudioControl training in a while. Just 10 days after CES 2020 concluded we had an AudioControl training at our facility. That’s getting after it and we appreciate the very quick action to get 2020 off to a fast start with Audio Control.”
A drawing was held for an Audio.Control ACM4.300 at the event. Steven Reed, from Mobile Installation Group (MIG), in Gaffney SC was the winner. Reed told 12voltnews.com “Matt put on a great training and I am looking forward to putting my ACM4.300 into action.”
Reece Helms, Shiflet & Dickson’s new Territory Manager for the company’s Eastern NC and SC area, attended the meeting. Helms spent 15 years working with N Tunz in Salisbury NC and lives on the coast. Helms will provide Shiflet & Dickson greater coverage in golf cart, ATV, motorcycle and marine accounts.
Following the Shiflet & Dickson training Palumbo hit the road with Dennis Montgomery visiting dealers in the territory. Montgomery is a territory manager for Tech Marketing that reps AudioControl.
SEATTLE, WA & LAS VEGAS, NV(01.08.2020) – AudioControl (audiocontrol.com), has introduced two new OEM interface solutions that enable 12-volt retailers to dramatically improve the sound quality of nearly any factory automotive sound system. The LC2i PRO and the LC1i share a proprietary technology called LMC (Load Matching Circuit), which manages any type of speaker level OEM integration utilizing three LGD values and advanced onboard thermal protection. These new models join AudioControl’s existing lineup, providing the ultimate selection of OEM interface solutions to match every vehicle along with the needs of each customer.
LC2i PRO The AudioControl LC2i PRO provides an answer to all the critical OEM interface issues technicians encounter from a small, elegant chassis. The LC2i PRO builds upon the success of the LC2i by adding new LMC technology with load generating devices built-in, making it compatible with virtually every vehicle on the road. Also, the AccuBASS® threshold control, GTO, and Ground Select switches are on top of the unit, and an AccuBASS calibration LED has been added to the top panel as well, making the installation process far more efficient. The LC2i PRO comes complete with the ACR1 remote bass level control, giving users on-demand access to bass levels as they enjoy their music.
LC1i The AudioControl LC1i is a high-performance OEM interface and premium line driver module offering the most essential features while providing technicians with AudioControl’s superior circuitry and performance. Featuring easy access load-select switches on the outside of the device, the compact size of the LC1i is essential for effortless fitment, and it includes RCA inputs as well as speaker level inputs for use as either a line driver or OEM interface solution. The multi-purpose LC1i offers the features and performance that installers demand at a competitive price.
“We realize the importance of providing best quality OEM interface solutions for our dealers, and these new models have been designed based on feedback directly from the installation bays,” explained Chris Bennett, National Sales Manager – Mobile at AudioControl. “Our mission is to help our dealer network create opportunity by facilitating OEM system upgrades in a vast array of vehicles and price points.”

SEATLLE, WA (11.15.2019) – AudioControl has returned from a wildly successful exhibition at the 2019 SEMA show in Las Vegas. SEMA showcases the best and brightest from the automotive aftermarket, and AudioControl’s booth in the North Hall was ground zero for the finest audio products at the event. AudioControl and Mobile Solutions also hosted an after-hours training event, the fourth consecutive year that the companies have collaborated, that was filled to capacity at the Orleans Hotel.
“The facility at the Orleans worked out very well for our co-hosted event—we were able to accommodate more than 150 attendees in a classroom-style setting in addition to seating for casual conversation and networking,” stated Chris Bennett, National Sales Director – Mobile at AudioControl. Bennett opened the event by welcoming everyone to the expansive taco bar, then turned it over to National Sales Trainer Matthew Palumbo for some valuable insights on new AudioControl products before all eyes and ears were tuned to a Mobile Solutions Fabrication Demo with Bryan Schmitt, Gary Bell and Chris Pate. Nearly all of the event attendees remained long past the training and enjoyed the after-hours festivities and camaraderie until closing. “AudioControl and Mobile Solutions thank all who attended and are already planning next year’s event, so we encourage our dealers to mark their calendars—see you in 2020!”

OEM integration with two new Load Generating Devices (LGD) Most new vehicles use a class D amplifier platform in their factory sound systems. These amplifiers can become unstable when they are connected to aftermarket audio equipment, causing system noise and overall compatibility issues. In order to maximize the upgrade opportunity for 12-volt retailers, AudioControl engineers created the LGD series of solutions, which seamlessly interfaces these newer OEM systems with aftermarket amplifiers. The AudioControl AC-LGD20 was designed specifically for Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Maserati audio systems without an amplifier. The AC-LGD60 provides interface capability for these same vehicles that feature audio systems with an amplifier.
DM-RTA The AudioControl DM-RTA is a sophisticated yet compact audio analyzer containing powerful analysis software designed to provide installers with the features of a fully functioning Oscilloscope, Voltage Meter, Real Time Audio Analyzer (RTA), SPL Meter and Polarity Checker. Because installers are often on-the-go and in cramped spaces when building a car audio system, the DM-RTA was designed to be light weight, compact and durable.
