SHREVEPORT, LA (06.19.2020) – Fathers’ Day is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of June each year in the U.S. This Sunday, June 21st, is Fathers’ Day 2020 and is the second day of Summer 2020.
Every aspect of Father’s Day 2020 will be impacted by the COVID-19 and uncertainty in general across the U.S.
The Spring Carlisle 2020 Car Meet, in Carlisle PA, was originally expected to draw 100,000 to the large outdoor swap meet venue. At the last minute officials stepped in to have the event cancelled. A court hearing on Thursday, June 18th, ended with no decision. With so much uncertainty the event will now draw a much smaller crowd.
The Florida Jeep Jam in Panama City is Fathers’ Day Weekend and expected to draw a large number of Jeepers and a large crowd to the Florida beach.
Concerts, bike rallies and other summertime activities have been impacted also.
Many Fathers across the 12volt industry have been working from home for nearly 3 months. Those factory staff members, manufacturers representatives and others have been home bound. Fathers working in 12volt retail shops, where open, have experienced very strong sales and packed install bays. Father’s working for distributors have been equally busy.
Fathers’ Day 2020 may be a good day to spend on the lake.
We wish all a safe Fathers’ Day 2020.
